For decades, the left has claimed that Christians try to shelter their children too much. Most believers try to present difficult topics to their children in an informative but not overly gratuitous manner. But that isn’t enough. The progressive influences in our culture would have you believe that it is not only acceptable, but beneficial to allow your child access to entertainment which makes light of irresponsible sexual behavior, or features explicit images. They think schools should not only discuss the biological aspects of reproduction, but should encourage children to explore every imaginable deviation from normal activity. The bottom line is, in today’s world, we are told that no topic is taboo. Nothing is too shocking. And if you disagree, well, you must be some sort of narrow minded bigot who takes pride in remaining ignorant of the world around you. However, a controversy over a recent political ad shows that, perhaps, there is a line that liberals are afraid to cross. Apparently, being well-informed isn’t always a progressive virtue. Missy Smith hopes to be Washington D.C.’s newest representative. I am not aware of all of her positions, and I am not endorsing her. What I am interested in is the ad which recently ignited a firestorm of controversy. The commercial opens with the images of two lifeless babies who were the victims of abortion. Ms.
